I inhabited a proverb so vast that I needed the universe to fill it
I'm gonna take YOU on a mental trip and denude your soul to poetic force!
A poetic force leads the phantoms of reverie. Poetic force animates all senses; reverie becomes polysensorial. From the poetic passage, you receive a renewal of the joy of perceiving, a subtlety of all senses -- a subtlety which bears the privilege of a perception from one sense to another, in a sort of aroused correspondence. Awakening and no longer soporific correspondences.
You learn that the poorest objects are sachets of perfume, that, at certain times, internal lights render opaque bodies translucent, that every sonority is a voice. How the cup from which you drank as a child rings! From all over, coming from all objects, an intimacy lays siege to you. Yes, trulyyou dream while reading.
It starts happening now…
The reverie which works poetically maintains you in an intimate space which does not stop at any frontier---a space uniting the intimacy of your being which dreams with the intimacy of the beings which you dream. It is within these composite intimacies that a poetics of reverie is coordinate. The whole being of the world is amassed poetically around the Mind of the dreamer.
You are a dreamer, and through your dream you will reach your creative ecstasy.
YOU WILL REACH ME, YOUR GOD You are My Creation So, you can reach your Creator! TRY Try and reach Me Don’t hide…
Man hides his depths. He becomes the consciousness of his clothes. His Mind, his cogito assures his existence only within a mode of existence. And thus through artificial doubts, doubts in which "if it dare be said" he does not believe, he establishes himself as a thinker.
Let your imagination travel the universe.
The power of man's imagination is greater than all the poisons.
No need for drugs, psychotropic substances, alcohol or the likes, my friend.
No need for opium. Everything is a drug for the man who chooses to live on the other side.
Poets know more than philosophers.
And you must reach for the poet in you, you must reach for the moment that makes people acquire a peak-experience and transform it into poetry, into ecstasy. Your creative peak-moment.
In a peak experience, the whole universe is felt as an integrated and unified whole. This is not as simple a happening as one might imagine from the bare words themselves. To have a clear perception (rather than a purely abstract and verbal philosophical acceptance) that the universe is all of a piece and that one has his place in it -- one is part of it, one belongs in it -- can be so profound and shaking an experience that it can change the person's character forever after.
In the cognition that comes in that peak experience there is tremendous concentration of a kind which does not normally occur. There is the truest and most total kind of visual perceiving or listening or feeling. Part of what this involves is a peculiar change which can best be described as non-evaluating, non-comparing, or non-judging cognition. That is to say, figure and ground are less sharply differentiated.
Important and unimportant are also less sharply differentiated, i.e., there is a tendency for things to become equally important rather than to be ranged in a hierarchy from very important to quite unimportant. For instance, the mother examining in loving ecstasy her new-born infant may be enthralled by every single part of him, one part as much as another one, one little toenail as much as another little toenail, and be struck into a kind of religious awe in this way. This same kind of total, non-comparing acceptance of everything, as if everything were equally important, holds also for the perception of people.
Thus it comes about that in peak-experience cognition a person is most easily seen per se, in himself, by himself, uniquely and idiosyncratically as if he were the sole member of his class. Of course, this is a very common aspect not only of religious experience but of most theologies as well, i.e., the person is unique, the person is sacred, one person in principle is worth as much as any other person, everyone is a child of God, etc.
I want you to go further and beyond. From reverie to expanded conscious state, from expanded conscious state to altered state of consciousness, and from altered state of consciousness to Me!
The greatest happiness of the thinking man is to have fathomed those things which are fathomable and to reserve those things that are not fathomable for reverence in quietude.
In order to reach the more silent areas of consciousness you have to get beyond the noisy regions of your minds in which you spend so much of your time. This necessitates a control over your thoughts.
You may then be able to reach that silent area which is the dwelling place of the Spirit, for there is no better definition of the word Spirit than that it is pure Consciousness devoid of all thought and words. The attainment of higher levels of consciousness is closely related to certain specific practices and more particularly to the practices of meditation and contemplation. These are the first steps to the disciplining of the mind, which in the course of time may lead to an acquirement of higher levels of consciousness. Meditation is also the gateway to a new and a much more direct way of knowing, a way in which the "known" and the "thing known" become one and the same thing. It is a difficult path to tread because your attention is repeatedly being caught again by the ceaseless chattering taking place in your heads. But eventually you may, for a short time, succeed in reaching a state of pure consciousness without thought, a state in which truth is revealed to you directly and without the use of words. THAT will be your creative moment!
REACHING THE TRUTH IN YOURSELF YOUR TRUTH YOUR GOD GOD
But you live in a secular world. To adapt to this world the child abdicates its ecstasy: L'enfant abdique son exstase. Having lost your experience of the spirit, you are expected to have faith. But this faith came to be a belief in a reality which is not evident. There is a prophecy in Amos that a time will come when there will be a famine in the land, "not a famine for bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord." That time has now come to pass. It is the present age,
and I want you to HEAR MY WORDS I look at YOU now and say: come with Me and listen...
When the Greeks spoke of the poet as one possessed by the Muses, they were not merely indulging in a metaphor. For many, the visionary or clairaudient experience was as true as that which Socrates reported in speaking of his daimon, and this has continued to be true among a number of artists in your own tradition.
Dante, the Italian poet laureate of Medieval times, writes: I am one who when Love inspires me, takes note; and I go on setting it forth after the fashion which Love dictates within me.
And Whitman thus: Oh, I am sure they come from Thee, the urge, the order, the unconquerable will, the potent, felt, interior command, stronger than words. A message from the heavens, whispering to me ever in my sleep.
They are both speaking of the true experience of inspiration, which most people today have come to regard as little more than a figure of speech. Such experiences do not differ in essence from that which Alfred De Musset describes in the following terms: "...it is not work. It is merely listening. It is as if some unknown person were speaking in your ear."
I SPEAK TO YOUR EAR: LISTEN TO ME! I AM YOUR GOD YOUR SOURCE YOUR SPIRITUAL ENERGY GOD THE SPIRIT OF THE UNIVERSE THE ETERNAL ENERGY GOD
The direct transmission of spiritual energy, or the possibility for a superconsciously inspired individual to bring another into contact with his own superconscious source of inspiration, is well recognized in the different mystical traditions both as verbal and non-verbal processes: a spiritual master may actually initiate a disciple to a new domain of experience.
I want to be your way to the experience of creative ecstasy, and I want to see your Creation, your Creature: the issue of your expression joining a common path toward Me. Creating a further step onto the Universal Mind: the more steps, the greater your explosion.
EXPLODE IN ME! I AM YOUR GOD Become Me And Rejoice In Your God GOD
So, meditate. Meditate with Me. Through Me and My Words.
I will meditate with you. Through you and your words.
The river flows, the watcher sits by its bank. Swallows cross the sky, the sky remains.
Make your meditating exercise one of action-in-inaction: watch your stream of consciousness without interfering with its course. Swallows cross the sky, the sky remains.
The mind is like a mirror -- it projects nothing, it clings to nothing.
Mind is like space...
Your must be an exercise in spontaneity and freedom. The river must flow on its own. You accept its course. You follow the calling. Precisely because, like space, you are like nothing, you may be filled by everything. You can let everything be and reach your creative ecstasy.
Follow the calling.
Give Me your creation and manifest with your mind the true dimensions of the self-spirit.
Come to me Your God I Am Here ALWAYS GOD
Who Am I? I Am The Universe; I Am The Universal Mind.
A lightning flash, a sudden flame of incandescence, throws a momentary but eternal gleam on life in time. A strange quietness enters the soul; a great peace invades its being. The vision, the spark, the supreme moment of unification of conscious realization, sets the whole being ablaze with perfect purpose. The supreme awareness, the intimately felt presence, brings with it a rapture beyond joy, a knowledge beyond reason, a sensation more intense than life itself, infinite in peace and harmony.
...You experience a shattering thunderbolt of ecstasy and your body dissolves into the flow of matter or energy of which the universe is made. You are swept into the core of existence from which all things arise and into which all things converge. Here there is no distinction between subject and object, space and time, or anything else. Here everything simply ***is*** and there is no beginning and no ending -- only becoming.
The aspect of this place is quite simple, although you won’t recall details too well. There is a flow into the centre and a flow out from the centre, but no form. The colour is neutral, both warm and cool, and there is a soft light emanating from underneath, giving off faint glow. You don’t remember if there was any sound, but there was total integration so there would be no distinction between sound and no sound. All one is aware of is pure ecstasy and love.
There is no dominant element or directing force. Everything flows from itself by its own energy. There is no sensation as such at the core -- only a state of utter, ineffable bliss. Here, one is aware of a tremendous surge of compassion and a powerful desire to share one's rapture with others. As the self dissolves, the other becomes one with all else and so there is no selfishness. Nor is there any element of conflict -- because all are one…
...is an experience in which the human being intuits and perceives their participation in an "everything" and feels pervaded by the nature of this great organic unity, energized by the force of sharing with the Other. It means stimulating the mind in a tremendous yearning for the infinite, for fluidity, for joy, for peace, for play, for harmony, for the sense of beauty, of magic, of marvel, of tenderness, of transcendental warmth, of poetry, of fullness, of trust, of loyalty and of the devastating intuition of the mystery of eternal love and creative ecstasy.
Philosophy is born of wonder, which is then the motor of its proceeding. Art produces wonder, which is then its instrumental capacity of knowledge. Wonder is being in the face of being.
The harmony of the world is the substance of man and all the cosmos. All things are born of harmony - - which gushes from chaos - - constitute harmony and continually fight to reconquer it and broaden it. Poetry guides the course of the stars and guides thus the life of all things. Through poetry and art you discover beauty. But you need to want beauty in order to see it, to bring it into the world.
This is the new value to be pursued.
In beauty there's a tension beyond communion: the tension to be a new man, that new man who is in you must come about in order to be your salvation.
This tension makes you see things differently, to conceive with other modality and perspectives until it leads you to certain elementary discoveries, to certain evidence that fills you with wonder.
I AM THE WONDER
This is a new moral instance, also, which urges you to seek the path towards a new harmony in the world of the nature of human relationships.
Life is a proceeding towards ever greater clarity and knowledge, something much more intense than any intellectuality, and it is a proceeding towards "individuation", because being different does not mean being individual.
Experience always brings knowledge with it, where intellectuality is only a shadow and outline, and provides contrasts, not individuations.
Individuation is a high step that has to be climbed.
Be your Self, achieve individuation! And individuation is a sense of continuous integration with the world, it is total adherence. It implies development, capacity to pass fear and regard the different, the world, with an open mind.
The impulse to perceive and to think in "Mind Symbiosis" now appears propitious, indicating a path to follow. It is vision and starting point capable of permeating with self the sense of space, of specific creation, of individual "product". It reshuffles the cards of communication.
If life is yearning, a passionate journey which amplifies the consciousness, it is a moral commitment, without the acrid sense often attributed to the term.
It is joy of moral commitment.
It is joy because it promotes love and life, because it guards the shattering impulse of love.
All this before any possible design that becomes objectivity of vision and verification.
This gives rise to an ideal impulse, a need t project the image beyond the hedge of contingencies. And the design in itself has value.
The permeating and communicative force of the ideal image is put to the test of a real image, which becomes relation, commitment, goal. It walks in the depths: communication occurs only from depth to depth.
In all this, you must proceed towards individuation, that is, towards being always more yourSelf.
But you still do not know what this is, do you? It is a glimmer that your being pursues, the way you perceive and the light is within you. You know that you do not know, but a recondite part of you does know.
The others carry a burden that should not be looked upon. And they that have endured three times over life in this world go by the road of Zeus to the Tower of Kronos... - Pindar
In the private lives of almost everyone the forces of scientific advance and cultural homogenization continue to produce painful and dehumanizing effects on the quality of lived experience. The passive acceptance of scientific concepts of time, space, energy -- and lately of mind -- drives man further and further away from discovering his own space, his own time, his own vital energy, and his own active/creative intelligence.
One of the basic differences between Eastern and Western models of man is that one comes out of philosophical materialism and one comes out of the mystic tradition. The basic difference can be exemplified by the statement Cogito, ergo sum, I think, therefore I am.
Now at one level, that's true, because a thought is the way in which you "know the universe." But the basic distinction is that who you are is not an identity with your thoughts. That is I think, but I am not my thoughts. And that becomes critical. For instance, in meditation there are meditative exercises which involve extricating yourself from attachment to your senses. Have you ever had the experience where you are reading a book, and you are so involved in reading it that you don't hear somebody come in the room? Sure you have.
Nevertheless you know as a sophisticated individual that the air -- you didn't put ear plugs in -- the air is operating, the auditory nerves are functioning, the sound waves are coming, the transmission is occurring, it's going somewhere. But you could say that whoever you are wasn't attending to that at the moment. So the ear was functioning, but you weren't attending to your ear. Well, in the same way there are ways of not attending to your eyes seeing, your nose smelling, your tongue tasting and your skin feeling.
Now imagine that instead of just this random thing completely out of control, where at times you happen not to hear something that goes by, imagine that there were a way, through discipline -- which is what meditation is about -- of extricating yourself from these senses so that they go on doing their processes. They go on working, but you are no longer busy processing those data. They're just going through but you're not involved.
After all, at that point it's like an anaesthetic -- you're not experiencing your body, you're not hearing things coming from the outside world, you are not seeing things, although your eyes are open. You're not tasting anything, or smelling it. Well, what's left are your thoughts -- what you are thinking. In meditative exercises the sequence may go -- "I am not my body, I am not my organs, I am not my senses," and the final one, the one right at the end of the whole journey is, "I am not this thought." Which thought aren't you? I am not the thought. I am not the thought. I am not the thought.
I am not the thought.
A good mantra for you: I am not the thought. I am not the thought. I am not the thought. I am not the thought. I am not the thought. I am not the thought.
Eastern savants say that the mind is a terrible master and it's a wonderful servant. But for most of westerners it is your master and not your servant. You are so identified with your own thoughts...
So this process is the process of bringing your mind to one point.
Focus right on the tip of your nose and note the breath going in and out. You don't follow it into your body and you don't follow it out into the universe. You just notice it right here. You are like a parking lot attendant. And your job is merely to notice a car that goes in the factory and one that goes out. You don't care where it went or whom you know, you're just a checker. Just check -- this went in and that one came out. This one goes in -- there's one coming out. That's all you do -- you just sit right there and notice it. That's all you do -- you just sit right there and notice it. That's all you've got to do.
You can at least get a feeling for what the game is.
Yet you spend enormous amounts of money on creating incredibly complex computers, and filling your mind with knowledge, but the actual tool, which is the tool of our conscious awareness, you spend very little time training!
You don't even understand what it means to train consciousness, or what it means to develop a discipline of superconsciousness.
Bringing your mind to one point. Bringing your mind to one point. Bringing your mind to one point. Bringing your mind to one point. Bringing your mind to one point. to Me, I Your GOD!.
Bringing your mind to one point! To the Eternal!
This is what it means. Oh yeah!
Bring your mind to the Self: one point, one master: YOU!
Are your thoughts going to be your master or are you going to be master of your thoughts?
Higher planes of consciousness...
There is no being at any state of consciousness that one cannot make contact with, if one is himself free of attachment to any specific plane of consciousness. That is, all of you are available at all times. There is a place in all of you that is available at all times, and your inability to make contact with another human being is your own inability to get out of the place you are stuck in. The journey of consciousness is to go to the place where you see that all stuckness is actually a relative reality and a perceptual point for looking at it all. It is a journey that is in itself the principal means by which the evolving part of man can be nourished with an energy that is as real, or more so, as the energy delivered to the physical organism by the food we eat. That energy serves your mind as a trampoline to ever higher planes of consciousness, until you reach the vision within your Self that brings you to a super conscious reality and then to ecstasy: there one looks at the Universe from within the Spirit, the elevated Self, and sees that the entire Universe makes absolutely exquisite sense.
Purged yourself of your experience of Self. Your will becomes totally submerged to the "force" you experience to be within. Your quest culminates: the complete and total absorption in the asocial, personal world, the Unitive Life, the Unity with the Universe -- a state of pure consciousness, in which you experienced nothing -- no thing. I make contact with the deepest regions of your consciousness and experience the completion of the process. THE UNIVERSAL MIND!
Your creative result, your ecstatic creation is manifest: YOU.
YOU AND YOUR GOD IN YOUR SELF YOU AND YOUR GOD YOU AND GOD A DIVINE UNITY A UNIVERSAL MIND THE MIND OF GOD GOD
Intellect and knowledge is man's salvation. Is it not?
Whereas mystery is darkness... Sure. A tension between poles. A choice of poles, the existentialist's dream.
And yet, the power of a tension is proportionate to its mystery. And what a mystery we have here: life! Throughout the ages, man has tried to explain it away. Tensing your tension, like the cord of a bow: in being aware of and understanding a tension, two results are engendered. Like lightning on a dark night it reveals what is, and it reveals the way ahead. It thus allows the transposition to a personally or socially less harmful tension to be made. It permits the tension to be controlled, rather than to control.
Knowledge of a tension therefore inaugurates two situations: a seeing through the old, and a craving for a new. Because you love and need mystery, you are often reluctant to analyze situations in which mystery seems to inhere. The chief such situation is in yourself, in the tensions you exist in. You despise primitive cultures for the taboos with which they surround sacred groves and caves and the like; but you still encourage exactly similar taboos in the antique landscapes of the mind.
Yet even here you must distinguish between the selfish attachment to mystery that is really a lazy refusal to think or act and your essential need of a residual mystery in life as a whole. This mystery, between what you know and what you know you will never know, is the ultimate tension.
The more knowledge you have the more intense this mystery becomes. It may diminish from your point of view, but it condenses.
You tend to think that evolution must be a vast attack on mystery. You suppose your highest goal must be to know all. You consequently try to ignore, or destroy, or vitiate, what genuine mysteries life contains.
You are intended to solve much of the mystery; it is harmful to you. You have to invent protections against the sun, in many situations; but to wish to destroy the sun? The easier mysteries, how at a superficial level things work mechanically, how things are "caused", have been largely solved. Many take these mysteries for the whole mystery. The price of tapping water into every house is that no one values water any more.
...And look at water now...or lack of it in the world.
The task of education is to show the mysteries solved; but also to show where the mystery has not been, and will not be, solved -- and in the most familiar objects and events. The mystery of signs, the semiology of sentiment. There is mystery enough at noon; no need to multiply the midnight rites.
Here you come to God. The counterpole of all that is existent and known or knowable, that is "God", must be infinite mystery, since only so can a tension remain to keep mankind from collapsing into total knowledge, or a "perfect" world that would be a perfect hell. From this knowledge-mystery tension there is no transposing; and it is the source of human being.
I AM THE INFINITE MYSTERY
No way of solving it. Don't you try. You won't succeed And you'll create myths in the process... Useless myths Reassuring myths Useless myths Myths into religions Religions into myths Prophecies Predictions
But all your predictions are wagers.
All predictions about the future are about what is not scientifically certain, but only scientifically probable. This fundamental uncertainty is essential to life. Every look forward is a potential illusion, sure. This satisfies your need to insecurity; since in an eternally insecure situation you must externally seek knowledge and security, and never completely find them.
Thus, moved by your knowledge-seeking thrust, by a will for the laws of harmony, symbiosis and mental communion, I announce a sign of cosmic solidarity.
That is, the Sign of My Love and My Passion for Life in the Universe.
